September 2nd 2025 – Update from Libby’s Care Team, Libby was medically flown back to University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver. She is currently in the ICU on a ventilator as a result of her aggressive Leukemia. Chemo therapy continues in an effort to get her to minimal residual disease, with the goal being a bone marrow transplant. Needless to say, she is in critical condition and your prayers and support are essential and greatly appreciated. I have been diagnosed and hospitalized at the University of Colorado with a rare and aggressive early TCell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (ETP-ALL). My course of treatment involves a 30 day hospitalization for induction of intensive chemotherapy followed by allogeneic stem cell transplant. The stem cell transplant will require another 28 days in the hospital. I will then need to remain locally in Denver within 30 miles of the hospital for a minimum of 100 days. UC Health Denver is nationally recognized as a Center of Excellence for the type of leukemia I have been diagnosed with. This course of treatment will dramatically impact all aspects of my life, including income, housing, medical insurance and related out of pocket costs. I am grateful that so many patients, friends, colleagues and acquaintances have reached out to show their concern and lend support.
